Your flowers are arranged in wet floral foam inside the box. The foam holds water and feeds every stem, so no vase is needed. Your only job is to keep the foam moist.

• Keep the flowers in place. Do not pull stems out of the foam. Each stem needs full contact with the wet foam to keep drinking.
• Check the foam every day. Touch the foam near the stems. If it feels dry, it needs water. In warm rooms, check twice a day.
• Water slowly and lightly. Pour a small amount of water, about a quarter to half a cup, directly onto the foam. Pour slowly so the foam can soak it up.
• Do not overwater. The box has a waterproof liner, but too much water can overflow and soften the box. Add a little at a time instead.
• Pick a cool spot. Keep the box away from direct sun, AC vents, heat and fruit bowls. A cooler room keeps the flowers fresh for longer.
• Protect your surfaces. Place the box on a flat, dry surface. A plate or tray underneath protects wooden furniture.
• Remove faded blooms. Snip off any fading flowers or leaves at the foam level. This keeps the arrangement looking neat.

Good to know: Once the flowers have faded, lift out the liner and foam and keep the hat box. It makes an elegant storage box.
