Your flowers are arranged in wet floral foam inside a lined basket. The foam holds water for every stem, and the liner keeps the basket dry. You only need to keep the foam moist and choose the right spot.
• Keep the flowers in place. Do not pull stems out of the foam. Each stem needs full contact with the wet foam to keep drinking.
• Water every day. Slowly pour a small glass of water into the centre of the arrangement, directly onto the foam. In warm rooms or during UAE summer, check it twice a day.
• Check the foam first. Gently touch the foam between the stems. If it feels dry or light, it needs water. If it still feels wet and heavy, wait.
• Do not overwater. The liner catches extra water, but too much can overflow onto the wicker and your furniture. Add a little at a time instead.
• Keep the basket upright. Carry the basket by its base, not just the handle, and keep it level. Tilting it can spill water from the liner.
• Pick a cool spot. Keep the basket away from direct sun, AC vents, heat and fruit bowls. A cooler room keeps the flowers fresh for longer.
• Protect your surfaces. Place the basket on a flat, dry surface. A plate or tray underneath protects wooden furniture from any moisture.
• Remove faded blooms. Snip off any fading flowers or leaves at the foam level. As a result, the rest of the arrangement looks neat and stays fresh.
Good to know: Once the flowers have faded, lift out the liner and foam. Wipe the basket with a dry cloth and keep it for storage or display.
