Your flowers arrive arranged in their vase, ready to display. Fresh, clean water is what keeps them looking their best. Follow these steps and enjoy your arrangement for longer.

• Top up every day. Flowers drink a lot, especially in the first few days. Check the water level daily and keep the vase at least two-thirds full.
• Change the water every 2 days. Hold the stems together and lift the arrangement out. Then empty and rinse the vase, and refill it with fresh, room-temperature water. Add flower food if a sachet is included.
• Re-trim the stems. Each time you change the water, cut 1 to 2 cm off each stem at an angle. Afterwards, place the arrangement back in the vase.
• Keep leaves out of the water. Remove any leaves that sit below the water line. They rot quickly and make the water cloudy.
• Pick a cool spot. Keep the vase away from direct sun, AC vents, heat and fruit bowls. A cooler room slows wilting.
• Remove faded blooms. Take out any fading flowers as soon as you see them. As a result, the rest of the arrangement stays fresh.

Good to know: The vase is yours to keep. Once the flowers fade, wash it with warm soapy water and rinse it well before its next use.
